In short
Lead programme designer and Target Operating Model specialist with 14 years across UK and global banking, covering retail, business, private, wealth, correspondent and markets. I work at the point where regulatory expectation, operating model and the systems that enforce them meet. Operating Model Design Lead and Senior Delivery Lead on a c.£120m, three-year FCA Section 166 remediation at Barclays: designed the phase operating models, governance frameworks, programme-wide SOPs and the full Skilled Person submission process, closing all three phases on time with every evidence pack accepted first time. Equally at home in regulated technology delivery. Practitioner background in AML, CDD, sanctions and the front-to-back trade lifecycle. Creator of ACON® (Agile Controls).
The five things I'm hired for
- Design. Current-state assessment and gap analysis, target operating model design, process, control and governance design across first and second line, SOP authoring and validation.
- Deliver. Programme mobilisation, multi-workstream delivery, PMO, RAID and change control, Board and regulator-facing MI, closure and handover to BAU.
- Build. Requirements and solution design, vendor selection and SOW, sprint planning with developers, test design and UAT, data migration, cutover, training and adoption.
- Prove. Validation methodology, pass/fail criteria, component-level traceability to findings, attestation and closure packs, assurance designed with Internal Audit and Second Line.
- Teach. 1,000+ hours of live training delivery; 150+ PMs and BAs at Barclays, a 200+ trained global BA academy at Excelian, a QA and Validation office at J.P. Morgan.

Operating Model & Process Design Lead
For programmes that have to design the target state before they can build it, and then prove the design to an auditor, a Skilled Person or a regulator.
The role
Own the design layer of a change programme end to end: current-state assessment, target operating model, and the processes, controls and governance that make the model operable. This is the work I led on a c.£120m FCA Section 166 remediation at Barclays across 13 work streams, and applied earlier to enterprise-wide remediation at National Australia Bank and multi-jurisdiction TOM definition at Excelian.
Responsibilities I can carry
- Current-state assessment and gap analysis across process, policy, control and system, including the points where technology plugs in and where it cannot.
- Target operating model design: organisation, process, governance, data and technology, phased so each stage is deliverable rather than aspirational.
- Process, control and governance design across first and second line, built with Internal Audit rather than around it.
- SOP authoring, and validation of live practice against the SOP.
- Change control and programme governance frameworks: the structure that keeps a moving plan reconcilable.
- PMO design and the MI and reporting architecture beneath it (SharePoint, Power BI, Excel Power Query, GRC platforms).
- Attestation, closure packs and audit-ready evidence through to sign-off.
- Training and standing up the teams who have to run the model after I leave.

Business & Technology Transformation Lead
Design the change, build the system that runs it, then embed it so the business keeps it. Risk, compliance and financial-crime platforms from requirements through build, test, migration and go-live.
The role
Lead a platform implementation where the requirements are regulatory and the configuration has to be defensible. Vendor implementation, in-house build or a hybrid of the two. I have run all three, including building a full workflow system in the native Microsoft stack when no off-the-shelf tool met what the regulator required.
Responsibilities I can carry
- Requirements gathering and solution design traced back to the regulatory obligation, not just the user story.
- Build-versus-buy assessment, vendor selection, SOW and SLA management.
- Sprint planning and working directly with developers and solution architects, onshore and offshore.
- Test design, pass/fail criteria, UAT coordination and defect governance through to closure.
- Data and record migration planning, reconciliation and integrity checks.
- Cutover, operational readiness and hypercare planning.
- Desktop procedures, global user training and adoption: the part that decides whether the platform sticks.
- Data protection and UK GDPR designed into the record model rather than retrofitted.

Senior Delivery Lead & Remediation Project Manager
For portfolios that are late, contested or under external scrutiny. Mobilise, stand up the PMO and the MI, and drive to a closure someone else will sign.
The role
Run delivery across multiple work streams with a board and, where relevant, a regulator watching. Most recently Senior Delivery Lead for Business Banking and Private Bank Wealth Management on a three-year, c.£120m remediation, with all three phases closed on time. Before that, scoping and mobilisation of an enterprise-wide remediation at National Australia Bank and cross-regional programme teams at Excelian.
Responsibilities I can carry
- Programme mobilisation: scope, structure, plan, resourcing and the governance calendar, stood up from a standing start.
- Delivery leadership across multiple work streams and business units, including at-risk recovery.
- PMO oversight, RAID, dependency management and change control.
- Board-level and regulator-facing MI, plus the reporting pack and the design rationale behind it.
- Managing, training and raising the standard of PM and BA teams, onshore and offshore.
- Vendor and third-party delivery management against SOW and SLA.
- Closure packs, benefits realisation and handover to business as usual.

Regulatory Change Project Manager
Turning a regulatory finding into a scoped work package, a validated control and an evidence pack that gets accepted the first time it is submitted.
The role
Run regulatory change where the output is scrutinised line by line: Section 166 remediation, Consumer Duty, SMCR, AML and financial crime. I designed the Skilled Person submission process on a c.£120m S166 programme and authored the validation methodology behind it. All three phase submissions passed review first time and were delivered on time to the FCA. Practitioner background underneath it: second-line Compliance Officer across AML, KYC, sanctions and screening.
Responsibilities I can carry
- Translating regulatory findings and obligations into scoped, traceable work packages.
- Skilled Person and regulator engagement: submission design, regulatory packs and the narrative around them.
- Validation methodology, pass/fail criteria and component-level traceability back to each finding.
- Attestation and closure-pack development across AML and governance work streams.
- Assurance design with Internal Audit and Second Line, built to withstand testing rather than to pass it.
- Regulatory reporting, Board-level MI and change control across a moving remediation plan.
- Financial crime subject-matter input: AML, CDD, EDD, sanctions, screening and third-party risk.
